A female fan may think that a front person, guitarist, drummer, et al, is sexy and attractive but generally likes a band because they enjoy the music of said band.

A groupie ( fan girl), is fickle, as she stops listening as soon as a hotter, newer front person arrives on the scene.

A female fan may think the singer is drop dead Hot, but realizes that the chances of meeting said heart throb are slim and has a real love life.

A Groupie ( fan girl) envisions marrying and having kids with said idol--many harbor obsessive fantasies that border on the psychotic...

A female fan goes to the show and enjoys the concert for the concerts sake, especially if the band kicks ass...

A Groupie ( fan girl) screams "I LOVE YOU ( insert name here)" every five seconds, cheapening the experience for all who hear her...

A female fan is happy for their band member of choice when they fall in love...

Groupies (fan girls) get all pissy, saying catty things about a woman they know nothing about while lamenting, "What does he see in her anyway!"

A female fan know where the music ends and realty begins...

Groupies ( fan girls) get too caught up in the "idea" of someone they do not know personally, to the point where they miss out on real life opportunities with flesh and blood nice guys...

Now, i am not saying it isn't good to fantasize about a hunk--it is normal to lust after a hot celebrity, but when our celebration of our idols have them wanting to hide under a table for fear that some chick with a pair of scissors is gonna cut their hair ( as what happened to Ville) my dears, we go a bit far...lol...
