The Notroious Betty Page

One of my idols, this silken, raven tressed Betty page, (Goddess) has always been a fave of mine. As I think about recent events, I am reminded of something she said in regards to her fame ( or infamy depending on perspective).

When asked why she got into taking such sensual pictures, she replied that she never regarded her work as "sexual" or nudity as sinful or wrong. In her words, the Good Lord put Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden "naked as Jay birds". Good point. If he had thought it wrong, he would have clothed them on day one.

I have always felt the most exquisite design in the world is the shape of the human body--and women, who are lovely to behold, have curve and textures that are appealing to the eyes. Certainly, this makes us easy to objectify, but true admirers appreciate more than just the physical aspects of nudity, but the spiritual aspects as well.

In my humble O, any woman would freaks out about another woman's nudity is well, as Freud would say, indulging a bit of "penis envy" , jealousy and self hate.

Women who are secure in themselves don't feel the need to judge confidfent sexual women.

Now this is not to say that we all run around and have a nude free for all--but I do believe that healthy expression and love of our bodies is the way to truly love ourselves. Fat short white or green, the human form is a miracle of creation, in its natural l stated, even the stars cannot outshine it.

We should give one another love, not hate, uplift not hold back. Carry ourselves with pride, and repsect choices that we ourselves may not necessarily agree with....
