Oh my gosh! I can´t decide!

Oh my gosh! I can´t decide! I love every Songs of HIM... but I think Sleepwalking Past Hope is my favorite song...
And I prefer it because I love the guitar sound that has and Ville's voice is somewhat somber, more than perfect!

My fav is Don't fear the reaper as it is my favorite song of all time!!! ever B.O.C yeah, i also like in joy and sorrow, i think it describes the polarity of relationships in general. Id also like to see him cover some patti smith, Alice cooper or Neil young......PLEASE. and could you do a gig at Newtown, Enmore theater in sydney as well as Eastern creek, did any one tell you its the ass end of sydney and Australia's answer to the trailer park and is also very hot!!!! you should play in Newtown, Newtonians Rock, im serious we do, totally.

Killing Loneliness

This song is the oasis for me in my dread and depression. There was a time about two years ago when I first found out about some family secrets that have been intended to be hidden from me. The power of all those things on me had driven me almost crazy. My friends saw me as a walking corpse, but it was impossible to talk to them about how I feel because none of them would understand. Then, I found "Killing Loneliness".

There is something about this song that soothes my mind when I hear it.

"Memories sharp as daggers
Pierce into the flesh of today
The suicide of love took away all that matters
And buried the remains in an unmarked grave in your heart"

These lyrics just touched deep down into me because those secrets had become memories haunting me, like daggers cutting into me and the lyrics just fit into my life. Suppressing the pain and moving on with my life was hard because the incident gets brought up occasionally, and a feeling of betrayal and sadness overwhelms me. "Killing Loneliness" saved me from mental self-destruction. I had no one to talk to, and the song became a way for me to regain balance in my heart and soul. If I couldn't find the courage to talk to people, I found solace in Ville's heart stopping song that slowly made me find courage and acceptance to the past.

Now, I can move forward in life, maybe not fearlessly because I do look behind, but I am taking small steps forward and not wallowing in the despair of the past. It also gives me hope of finding in life that soulmate who can understand me and "kill loneliness" with me.

It's all thanks to HIM and Ville Valo that I have found my footing in life again. He has the power to resurrect the dead soul and if he didn't, I don't know how messed up I'd be right now. Everything song and especially "Killing Loneliness" has found a way into my heart, redeeming me from the darkness... even now.

all of HIM songs are incredibly meaningful and beautiful but funeral of hearts has a really different place for me whenever I listen to it, it makes me cry, reminds me of someone who I loved so much... and I love it's video too... the song and the video, they are both magical... :)

HIM music has always been my 'catharsis' and it would be very hard to decide, because every song has a special place in my soul and has always helped me to be a better person, to change, to evolve,to achieve my goals.

But I think that if I was to pick one it would be "Please Don't Let It Go". I am always listening to it. I think that it brings back a lot of pain that I felt at one point of time with my first husband. I use to think the world of him. He was perfect in my eyes (despite his many flaws). It seemed like his thoughts on me was that I could not do anything. And he thought that I was always cheating, when it was him that was the cheater. He would always belittle me and hit me. One night him and I was walking, and he told me that I need to leave him. That he was no good for me. I was heartbroken. I remember that I said something back to him that like the chorus to that song (however Ville Valo said it better than I did). Now that I listen to that song it helps me remember all the pain that I felt from all of the different times that he left me for those other women. But it is not like I am sad or bitter about the whole thing. While listening to the song and thinking back to all of those times, I think of how I am now and how I am now. I turned my life around. I released my true potental. I now make a lot more money than he could ever dream of, and to top it all off I am truly happy. I think that song for me recaptures the pain, stuggle, and growing process.

crap... every day, the song changes...
now it's either Play Dead or Behind the Crimson Door.
they're just so dark, haunting, and saddening. Ville sings beautifully in both tracks.
BTCD is one that helps me to think. the poem before the double chorus ending is interesting too... shame I don't understand Finnish (if it is)... Linde's guitar work is downright awesome.
Play Dead just touched me so deeply. I nearly cried listening to this song. and me crying over a song is quite rare. Burton's keyboards were amazing too.
