Congratulations to H.I.M., who this week became the first band from Finland to ever sell more than 500,000 copies of a record in America when their current "Dark Light" release was certified Gold by the RIAA. Upon receiving the news, frontman Ville Valo had this to say to the fans who made this success possible: "Thank you, sweeties, for helping us make history in the realm of Finnish rock by accepting and embracing the quirky nature of the dance macabre known as H.I.M." The band are currently working on material for a new album, which they hope to release in 2007.
