Venus Doom is my favorite album from HIM. Its probably the heaviest album that HIM has put out. The tracks on this album are the best that HIM has put out. Passions killing floor, kiss of dawn, bleed well, dead lovers lane, and sleeping past hope are my most favorite tracks on the album.

I really love all of HIM's albums however if you only get to buy one album in your life time (and that wont be the case) you need to get UL 1&2 caus it covers a broad range of HIM's Rock and Ballad Songs. It also has the best cover of "Wicked Game" that I have ever heard!
This 2 disc set also includes my most favoured songs, Join Me In Death, Funeral Of Hearts, The Sacrament, Right Here In My Arms and Beautiful...I could go on and on and on, so... do yourselves a favour and add this one to your collection if you haven't done so already.
That was the first album I heard of this band.It was a few years ago. I was very young, average and sad girl from Poland. One day I have heard "Pretending" in my friend home and... I knew already I would become a big fan of HIM. I have become a person who started belive in power of love and that only love can set us free from darkness of big cruel world.
I know I'm only one of hundreds fans in here and my opinion is not really important. But all I want to say now is: Ville, POLAND LOVES YOU and we are waiting for see you in our country. That concert will be a big occurence for huge group of your fans here. That will be like our biggest dream come true. So please, think about us when you will start planning your european tour !! We are waiting for His Infernal Majesty to join us.
i love almost every song on Razorblade Romance and The Sacrement song from Love Metal. If i weren't so picky, i might like every song, but i like upbeat songs that don't put u to sleep or the slow love song that makes girls like me want to break out in tears. i would cry for ville's voice in the first place.

this album helped me find myself because i realized it isnt about hate and anger but the beauty of the lyrics gave me a light a dark light and showed me that i have to love to make it through

This is my favorite album because the songs are so, incredibly romantic and honest, they are.., in a sense songs that have kept me from going insane...when I was going through depression and self hate, bad relationships, and the start of a wonderful one.
Close to the Flame- The mellowness of the song helped me through a lot of nights when I'd cry myself to sleep.
For You- The love that is in this song is so incredible its the song that my soon to be husband and I will dance to on our wedding night. Because we are for each other.
Gone With the Sin- I really love this song because I got the DJ at my Senior Prom to play it for my fiancee and I and it was so incredibly romantic the way he looked into my eyes and sang it to me....lol not to mention the fact that no one else was dancing because they were used to rap and stuff so we were one of the only couples out there and it was so sweet.
Heartache Every Moment- pretty much summed up my last relationship....no matter how much we had to go through we tried to hang on, "We sense the danger and don't wanna give up" That lyric right there...that was our relationship.
It's All Tears- was how smothering I used to be in my last relationship, so much that when he'd push away, it would indeed leave me in tears...
Our Diabolikal Rapture- fits my current relationship...no matter what happens or tries to pull us apart we're always there for each other and I WILL always be waiting for him...no matter what happens I'm there for him, My heart literally feels explosive just from looking at him and hearing his voice I love him so dearly...
Poison Girl- in my case it should be Poison boy...lol but anyway I did whatever I could for my ex...to try to make him happy yet no matter what it never made him happy, he went to other girls, and yet I still tried to make it better...yet soon I started to die a little bit more inside everyday...and his kisses were like ice...to me they no longer warmed my heart. He was killing me and I just let him do it...
Pretending- Pretend that's all we did in my last relationship that we were fine and everything would be better, People and things kept pulling us apart....so, it was bound to happen just as the song...we were not the ones to blame...we tried...
When Love and Death Embrace- In my eyes this song is about how you can love someone so, strongly that it can cause you pain, you can be addicted to that person, and no matter what they do to you, you'll always love them. Thus, the reason this is going to be the main theme at my wedding.
Wicked Game- My fiancee kind of unintentionally made me fall in love with him, from his kindness, his compassion, sensitivity, those sad eyes of his, and his sex appeal, I never imagined i'd fall in love with him, we were only friends at first...but it grew and as hard as I tried I couldn't help but to fall for him.
And those are the reasons I chose The Single Collection as my favorite

I love HIM! I have all the albums, and put them in my disk changer and just let them play at random. I never get tired of any of them. I am so ready for the new album release!!!
Uneasy listening Vol.1 is clearly number one for me because of the unpluged, Acoustic and the remixes. Just love when you can listen to the same song but in so many different ways.

The music on that cd makes me think about all the bad/good shit I went through in 2004. Each song has a different and deeply personal meaning in my heartogram.

Love Metal is probably my favorite album though it's incredibly hard to say. I love to play to guitar to this album. It's got such a dark, romantic yet exciting rock vibe it's such a diverse album it's got beauty, lust , pain , fear , hope and every feeling that pulses through my veins in it. Songs like the path can bring a tear to my eye. It's got a very strong message that I can relate to and empathise(sp) with Ville's pain. I always like to improvise on the last little guitar piece just because :D. You guys have made something different each and every time you put something out. Nothing is ever the same and amongst other things that makes you guys such a pure real rock band in a time when there aren't many. The funeral of hearts every body can relate to as it puts the pain of loving right in your face. The album contains songs like Buried alive by love and soul on fire, endless dark even that make you wanna stand up dance. This is the album I'd give someone to listen if I wanted to get them into the music. This song is and will forever be one of my greatest inspirations in writing music. Dark to light and pain to love, I think this album covers every emotion and does it well which makes it my current favorite album!

There isnt a question in my mind as to which is the greatest album ever brought out by HIM. Of course, their newest stuff like dark light and venus doom are all great, and demonstrate the direction the band is going, BUT you cant go past the original stuff that made me fall in love with them. Songs like, Its all Tears, The Reaper, For you, When love and death embrace and the list goes on. Music to warm the soul and break your heart. Beautiful poetry matched with perfect sound.

Razorblade Romance is my favorite record and ia one of the best HIM albums ever. If Venus Doom is HIM's rock out record, then Razorblade Romance is their sex record. Razorblade Romance was one of the very first HIM records I ever heard so, I'm partial to it.
And given that I am totally in love with you Ville Valo, you have brought out more things in me that were deep and dormant, that I am now just discovering, particularly when it comes to sexuality, because of you Ville, I'm just discovering mine. Thank - u.

a very hard choice but i have to admit that i was really impressed when i heard their first song... and it was from this album and since then i fallow them. I really love the sound because is different and the lyrics because contain a lot of emotions. whit a lot of great songs is very difficult but i feel more identified with this album....

My favourite album is "Deep Shadows and Brilliant Highlights". Music from this album has accompanied to me in the most important part of my life, in critical moments. It contains my favourite songs like "Close to the flame" and others. "DSABH" is an album, which I totally adore because it shows a lot of sensitivity, sensuality and other strong feelings. It also shows vocal potential of Ville in the best way. :)
Each musician on this record has its place, each instrument is heard and understood perfectly, and come together to do the best job of HIM, Ville's voice is enhanced by the very well with the guitar solos ...

It is my favorite album of HIM because this disk concentrated all that boys did earlier and besides first their song that I heard was The funeral of hearts. I don't like Dark Light because I think it not for european people, it rather for USA. Also Venus Doom is a great album, not worse than Love Metal, but it is more depressive. Indeed all albums of HIM is best for me!

A few yrs ago I entered some music store and blaaa blaaaa....... I just WANTED that CD! And the next day I returned there for the album with greatest hits...:D Of course my mother was likely to kill me because I spent all my pocket money on HIM :D But I never felt sorry about it...:)And since that time my collection of albums is just increasing...:D

Well for starters, And Love Said No is still my favourite song by H.I.M. The lyrics really hit home with me. I love how many of my favourite songs by H.I.M. are on this album. It is definitely one that I can listen to time and time again!

This is by far the best HIM album to date. In this recording, one can see the raw emotion behind the lyrics. When I listen to this album, I feel almost at peace...embraced by the music. Sleepwalking Past Hope is an absolute masterpiece. Soul on Fire is a reflection of me...

but if I had to choose only one album to never give away, I'd choose And Love Said No because of the songs And Love Said No and The Sacrament. they both drew me to HIM.
