'SCREAMWORKS: Love in Theory and Practice'

HIM will start recording a new album in Los Angeles in August with producer Matt Squire (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Squire). The working title is 'SCREAMWORKS: Love in Theory and Practice' and tentative release date by Warner Records worldwide in early 2010.

i was reading some comments and some people is wishing the sames as i do :). I mean i became a really hard core fan of HIM 3 years ago, i start with your wings of a buttefly, but i began to look more inside in HIM's music and oh man I fall in love with GLV666 and RR and I mean this albums rocks are my favorites, i knew HIM by dark light but I'm not satisfaited with myself I would prefer to know HIM when i was 8 years old,now I'm 19 and i would like to hear a new RR or GLV666 please guys make this album like when you started I know you can know your rooots :).. :D please and not another dark light... :) greetings from Mexico :)

I'm hoping HIM could come to Mexico, I really love them, and well..popular or not, HIM is the best for me, and I think that if they turns popular, ugly people would like them just because "they are popular" and that disgust me :( I mean, many people "love HIM" and they only knows 5, 6 songs...I hate it!

I feel like like standing on the roof and squealing.

Personally, I'd love to hear a sound similar to Razorblade Romance, Love Metal, Deep Shadows And Brilliant Highlights, Dark Light (sacralige, I know, but I adore 'Killing Loneliness' because of Burton's intro) or Venus Doom...

I'm looking forward to what you come up with, particularly involving Burton's solos and intros. I'd love to hear something similar to 'The Sacrament', 'Heartache Every Moment', 'Killing Loneliness' or 'Sleepwalking Past Hope'... I'm in *love* with Burton, so something involving him in a big way would be lovely.

I hope it's an awesome album and not like Dark Light. Dark Light was a great album but it wasn't really the HIM feel. Last time the guys recorded in LA Dark Light happened. I like the feeling of VD. It's a step back to the HIM we all know and love. I really want that back on not the poppy Dark Light stuff. Again, I love that album too but it's just not HIM. Can't wait for Screamworks!!!!!!!

A cover and variation of The Kris Norris Projekt's "The Law Of Falling Bodies." It might seem more appropriate for Venus Doom, and I have no idea what the mood of the album will be, but based on the title and that mood it gives off (the title alone), the song I suggested would set the mood perfectly.

If you were going to do it, I would trim it to about 1:24 and go immediately into the next song.

I'm not trying to compose your album, I'm just giving my two cents, and if for some label related reasons you can't do it, at least I'll have some solace knowing that you took my idea into consideration. I don't know if I'll know you did or not, but if you do it would make my world a million times over.

Really looking foward to the album guys.

Who cares what other people think about the band, Theyve been doing great from day one and still are doing amazing, im sure whatever they come out with next will not be a let down. Love metal is one of a kind style.

I'm really looking forward to the new album, because God only knows how long I've been waiting to listen to something completely fresh from the guys...! :D But I also hope it's better than Venus Doom, because -let's face it- "fresh" doesn't always mean "good"! And, to my mind, V.D. wasn't such a huge success, at least not in Greece... Anyway, I really hope my most favourite Finnish boys will do their best, the way they've been doing all these years! ^_^ Heheh!

Let's not forget that it's not about what we, the established HIM fan's want, it's about the best move for the band. I love 98% of all their songs but let's face it, most of it doesn't appeal to all people. Songs like "Right Here In My Arm's", "Killing Loneliness" and the remake of "Solitary Man" could've been extremely popular in the states had the band had the proper exposure. A move between Love Metal and Dark Light would be in the right direction. Going back to Greatest Love Songs or revisiting Venus Doom would not. I've plugged this band to several hundred people and have converted most to followers but I didn't do it with Your Sweet 666, most American's just don't get it. I want to see the band as popular as they possibly can be so they make more money and tour America MORE!
So I'm hoping it is Wings of a butterfly and the funeral of hearts, and the Sacrament. This band is the best and they deserve popularity here in the states.It's gotta be this album and it has to have a hit in the U.S. IF we are to get future material and tour dates down the road. So plug them to everyone and please, buy the damn record when it comes out! Stick to downloading the rich, worn out bands! Much love to all you HIM fans out there and take care!

First Im so stocked for the new CD but im keeping my fingers crossed that when they tour they come back to KC,MO!!! I got to see them 2 years ago. They came on Halloween. It was sooooooo killer!!! I was like in the third row. I had a wicket mask on. A lot of people had some killer costumes on. I didnt know they dont celebrate Halloween, but anyways IT ROCKED!!!
