Venus Doom

So I recall going to see HIM for the first time and since my only time considering where I live. I live in New Orleans, LA. Life was hard after Katrina in Fall 2005 and many of the local rock/goth scene went onto greener cities in other states. I had found out in early 2006 that HIM was coming to the House of Blues in New Orleans. I couldn't believe it! My fiance and I got tickets, it was general admission. We treated ourselves to a meal at the House of Blues resaurant before hand. We got in early to the show since we had dinner there. The first two bands were ok. I remember one of them was Aiden, I'm not a fan, but I could tollerate it. Then HIM came on late into the night. It was warm that evening, not unlike most nights in the springtime southern climate. I had a Guiness in hand while I watched their set. It was amazing. Ville was on par with all the lyrics, talking to us in between. He said something that night which I can remember even now.
