Although I always try not to expect too much of anything, I had really high expectations for the new HIM album. Much of that was probably because of the teasing fans had to go through while waiting for the release date. But luckily, and not to my surprise, my expectations were fulfilled.

I beyond love Screamworks: Love in Theory and Practice! There aren't enough words to describe it. It's astonishingly amazing. Once again, HIM have outdone themselves! Screamworks is everything that is HIM and more. I can definitely hear the influences mentioned in interviews, and I definitely feel the uplifting melancholy in it. You can cry to it, you can dance to it, smile through it; all at the same time. This, like all their other albums, brings a new dimension to HIM, while maintaining the unique sound of the band. Everybody involved in the production of this album should be proud of it. It's lovely!
